Illegibility of text is the core of my abstract oil paintings, with the intention of disabling the viewer from being able to interpret the content.

The illegibility of the text is not just preventing the viewer from interpreting the content; it is obscuring and thus hiding the content, and allowing the viewer to make their own interpretation.

The aesthetic qualities of the painted surface play a prominent part within my practice, as I have continuously experimented with different techniques in order to get the desired effects.
